DCU News – Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker 2 receives script update

Whenever Warner Bros. has been supercharged in recent memory, the DC rug has been pulled from their feet for the brand’s lackluster performance on the big screen.but names like this Batman and Suicide Squad Hailed as a huge success, maybe things are looking up for IP. One of WB’s highest records over the past decade is Todd Phillips clown.

The Joker’s origin story took a page from Martin Scorsese’s screenplay, resulting in an Oscar-winning work and more taxi driver Compare Justice League. Since Phillips and the crew wrapped up the theatrical run centered on The Clown Prince of Crime, fans have been wondering, “When is the sequel coming?”

So far, there’s no need to worry about this movie. If the script is to be completed this summer, or even this fall, filming could begin in early 2023. That means the movie could finally hit theaters in the fall of 2024.

As mentioned above, at this point, when it comes to Joker 2, there’s nothing to worry about. Although, it is very close to the level of tension. If Phillips’ script ends up being completed by this fall, the film will finally be released five years after the original. This is the time fans have been waiting for.

In the grand scheme of things, though, those five years may not mean much. clown was a real success, grossing over $1 billion at the box office and taking home some awards season hardware in the process. So, fans have no reason to worry…at least not yet.


It’s been a long time since the first time clown. While the script for Todd Phillips’ sequel appears to be nearly complete, it wouldn’t be surprising if movie stars Joaquin Phoenix or Phillips came out five years later and said they had lost interest.

But for now, viewers will have to wait, as there appears to be no shortage of Joker content in the coming years.
